Founded in 1961, ELISAVA is the first design school created in Spain. The centre is committed to an innovative, creative, multidisciplinary and dynamic approach to training and research and works closely with professionals, companies, institutions and universities.
The School, an educational centre belonging to the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), offers Training Cycles, 1st and 2nd cycle courses, Masters and Post-graduate courses and Continued Education in the areas of Design, Technical Architecture and Technical Engineering in Industrial Design. All these lines of training meet the requirements of the new emerging professions and have the quality and creative personality that has brought the Centre so much prestige, both in Spain and abroad.
Located in the centre of Barcelona, in one of the most historical and cultural areas of the city, ELISAVA has over 1,600 students and 500 lecturers and collaborators with extensive experience in teaching and consolidated professional careers. Every year the School also attracts renowned professionals who want to dedicate part of their time to becoming involved in the centre's activity and in training students via talks, seminars, exhibitions and workshops.
